The Juiciest Baked Steak with Vegetables
3 Steaks (top sirloin, New York, filet mignon)
1 Medium onion
1/2 Tsp salt
1 Green bell pepper
1 Large fresh tomato
1/3 Tsp black pepper
1 Tbsp shortening
1 Cup water
2 Tbsp pomegranate juice (or lemon juice)
Grease a glass baking dish with shortening and then add your steaks.
Peel and cut the onion, potatoes, and green pepper into wedges and place them on top of steak.
Wash and slice the tomatoes and layer them on top of mixture.
Mix salt, pepper, pomegranate juice (or lemon juice) and water and pour the mix over everything.
Place in preheated oven at 400 degrees for 1 hour or until sauce has cooked down.
Serve with a salad.
