You have to try this recipe if you like Indian food. This Chicken Curry is easy to make and tastes just as good as what you'd get at an Indian restaurant, if not better.
2 Pkgs chicken (breasts, legs or your preference)
1 Large onion, finely chopped
1/3 Cup shortening
15 Cloves garlic finely chopped
6 Tbsp curry powder
1/3 Tsp salt
1/3 Tsp black pepper
1/4 Tsp paprika
3 and a 1/2 cups water
1 Cup whipping cream (or use low-fat)
Clean the chicken; set aside.
Place the onion, garlic and shortening in a pot over medium heat, sauté until yellow.
Add the chicken, curry powder, paprika, salt and black pepper and sauté for 10 minutes.
Add the water and cook over medium heat for 1 hour.
Add the cream, cook for 30 minutes until sauce is thickened.
We recommend serving this with plain rice.
