When it's in season, Swiss Chard has some awesome recipes AND with minimal prep. It has some really good nutritions if you're looking to add some leafy greens to your diet. Check out this recipe for starters.

Ingredients
3 Pkgs frozen chopped spinach or swiss chard
1/2 Lb ground beef (or more if you wish)
2 Large onions, chopped
5 Tbsp shortening
3-4 Cups water
1/2 tsp salt
Steps
Wash and destem you swiss chards or spinach
Add shortening, meat and onion to heated pan cooking over medium heat until onion is light yellow
Add spinach or swiss chard and water and salt
Cook until water is completely evaporated
Serve with plain rice
Recipe Note
We suggest you add a squeeze of fresh lemon for a nice flavor.
Also, if you are using fresh spinach or fresh swiss chard you will have to clean it thoroughly, removing stems and cutting it into pieces. Frozen is ready to use and tastes the same with less preparation time.
